Cyber Florida’s free online cybersecurity workforce development program

CyberWorks is a workforce development initiative to help address our nation’s critical cyber workforce shortage by preparing career-changers for new roles as cyber defense analysts. Through expert online instruction and hands-on learning, this intensive 12-week program prepares students to enter the cybersecurity workforce as Tier 1 Security Operation Center (SOC) Analysts, a position with an average starting salary of $65,000.

A life-changing opportunity

A limited number of full-tuition grants are available for those who qualify (application required) thanks to funding provided by JPMorgan Chase and a grant funded by the National Security Agency (NSA) to establish a national, certificate-based cybersecurity workforce development program called CyberSkills2Work. Most applicants are able to participate at no cost, making CyberWorks a life-changing opportunity for many participants.

Cyber Florida’s exciting free online cybersecurity workforce development program called CYBERWORKS. Cyberworks is a 12-week virtual certificate program that provides the foundational education and training for adult students to transition into the field of cybersecurity as entry-level cyber defense analysts. Students will receive workforce development resources and participate in networking opportunities with our cybersecurity industry partners as well as receive a voucher to take the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification exam upon course completion. Cyberworks is offered at NO COST therefore seats are limited and certain eligibility requirements need to be met. Florida residents that identify as military veterans, first responders (police, firefighters, paramedic/EMTs, 911 dispatchers), women, people of color, and professionals with disabilities will receive priority consideration, as stipulated by the funding organizations. The Summer 2022 term will be May 16, 2022 – August 14, 2022 and the online application is due on March 22, 2022.
