Updated Messaging for Communicating the Importance of Checking Smoke/CO Alarm Batteries

Volunteer fire departments have traditionally used the beginning and end of daylight savings time to remind the public to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms. However, with the prevalence of 10-year sealed battery alarms, this messaging is now outdated.
