VA’s Dr. Hudspith and the Caregiver Support Program are hosting a presentation on Empowering Versus Enabling for Caregivers of Veterans with PTSD
Empowering or Enabling for PTSD care needs?
Do you question if the care you provide is taking away from your loved ones full potential to gain independence? It’s very common for caregivers to want to help the ones they care for, even if that means doing everything. It’s human nature to want to be helpful to those we love.
In this presentation, you will learn the difference between empowering and enabling the one you care for. You will be provided with scenarios from real caregivers on tough behaviors to address.
This presentation will provide you with the skills needed to empower and motivate your loved one. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about your unique caregiver situation at the end of the presentation and resources will be provided.
Join us Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CT via WebEx
