On 1/10/21 we was dispatched for a structure fire on Harley Ln. with a child locked in a closet and smoke showing. With the nature of this call, there was a full response from our firehouse along with Fellowsville and Newburg. When Engine 121 arrived on scene there was nothing showing and no one at the residence. With further investigation into this situation, w… Moree found out that the child had call 911 and reported the false call.
The only reason this is being posted is to get people to talk to young children about this. The amount of resources that was brought out for this false alarm was huge. There was 3 Engines, 3 Tankers, 1 Ambulance, 1 Law Enforcement and about 20-25 personal. So please just talk to kids and try to explain to them about not make any kind of false 911 calls. It not only takes time away from our family, but also puts us in danger as well.
