7-May-2019 - VetCare is proud to partner with Mossy Oak GameKeeper Kennels to offer hunting dogs one of the best in-class products when it comes to speeding up healing process of wounds received in the field. The new product comprised from the collaboration is Mossy Oak GameKeeper Kennels QuickDerm wound ointment. Products are offered in a 2-oz. ointment bottle and a 4-oz. spray bottle.

QuickDerm, a product that has been on the market and widely available to veterinarians for more than 9 years, has been touted by vets across the United States for healing wounds, including foot pad injuries, hot spots, lick sores, lacerations, flea dermatitis, degloving injuries and pressure sores. QuickDerm will be co-labeled under the GameKeeper Kennels brand.

Dr. Mason Romero, a veterinarian in Houston, Texas, highly recommends QuickDerm, stating, “I am always looking to offer my patients the latest and greatest when it comes to their vet care. I have been using QuickDerm for skin conditions such as lick granulomas, facial fold dermatitis, road rash, lacerations, and other open wounds. The results have been incredible. I am seeing these conditions heal at a rate I have never experienced in my career.”

The technology behind QuickDerm was first introduced for human health applications for hard-to-heal wounds, including foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, stasis ulcers, burns, skin irritations, abrasions and cuts. According to Libby Robinson, President of VetCare, QuickDerm provides a moisture-retaining protective barrier that impacts inflammation and promotes healing.

“The once-a-day application makes it simple to use and less stressful for the patient, especially in trauma situations,” Robinson added. Robinson has also been working with first responders, the military medical community and others in the healthcare field to promote the product.

“Whether it is responding to a call or needing treatment for personal pets, knowing there is a product available that promotes rapid healing is reassuring,” said Janet Liebsch, EVP of the U.S. First Responders Association.

“At Mossy Oak, our dogs are a major part of our families,” said Bill Gibson, Director of Gun Dog Operations for Mossy Oak GameKeeper Kennels. “Whether in a duck blind or on the edge of a dove field, our dogs can be found at our side and we make it a point to provide them with the best products to keep them as healthy as possible. That’s why we are proud to partner with VetCare on the new GameKeeper Kennels QuickDerm. The product is the best in-class and we are proud to be working with such a values-based company that puts quality of the product and how it benefits the animals ahead of anything else."

Robinson commented on her work with Mossy Oak stating, “As a native Mississippian, I’m proud and excited to be partnering with Mossy Oak. With QuickDerm, I am confident that I am absolutely offering Mossy Oak and their customers the very best animal wound care product on the market.”
