Sergeant Andrea Lopez!
She was born and raised right here in San Antonio and graduated from McCollum High School on the city’s south side (Go Cowboys!) Sergeant Lopez has been on the force for 13 years and is currently a patrol supervisor for Central C-Shift. Before Patrol, Sergeant Lopez worked with the Central Crisis Response Team, Robbery Task Force and as a Uniform Evidence Detective Investigator (UEDI). Her mother has been her biggest inspiration, raising her and her sisters as a single mother. She has this advice for females wanting to join the SAPD: “Whatever your situation is, don’t let anything discourage you from making one of the best career decisions you could ever have.”
