Five conservative influencers have been swatted in recent days, as Democrats ramp up their invectives against President Donald Trump and DOGE chief Elon Musk amid their work to downsize the government and eliminate waste, fraud and abuse. (3/18/2025 Update: Conservatives continue to be swatted… the total number of victims is now 15. See details below.).
Swatting is a form of domestic terrorism where someone makes a false report to emergency services, often targeting a political opponent, leading to a police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team or other law enforcement response at the victim’s location. The malicious tactic can and has led to fatalities.
The victims this week include Info Wars reporter Chase Geiser, conservative radio talk show host Joe Pags, political commentator Gunther Eagleman, independent journalist Nick Sortor, and Trump impersonator Shawn Farash.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin released a statement Thursday night following the series of swatting attacks.
“Swatting is a violent criminal act,” Martin posted on X. If any perpetrators are discovered in the District of Columbia or originate from here, you will be arrested, we will put you in jail and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”
Geiser was swatted twice within a twelve hour period, the first time Tuesday afternoon and again early Wednesday morning just before 2AM. He described the first incident on the Alex Jones Show, noting that he and his family weren’t at home when the police showed up at his house. Geiser said when he met the police in his driveway, they were still receiving 311 messages about his property. “So there was a campaign of swatting my property,” he told Jones.
After the second incident, the Info Wars reporter posted on X that “6 to 8 police officers used a PA system to call me by name and order me to walk out of my house.”
I was handcuffed in the middle of the street, presumably at gunpoint though I couldn’t tell because of the light being shined on my face.
I was then led into the house where my wife was woken up and we were informed that they received a call from someone pretending to be me and threatening to kill my family.
Conservative radio talk show host Joe Pags was also swatted early Wednesday morning.
According to the Joe Pags Show website, the talk show host was alerted by a security notification on his phone at 2:35 AM on Wednesday March 12th.
Checking his outdoor camera, he saw a chilling sight—an armed man at his front door. In that moment, his adrenaline kicked in. Thinking quickly, he called 911, where the operator confirmed his fears—someone had made a fake report, triggering the heavy police response.
“They’re targeting anyone who’s a conservative,” Pags said on his radio show Thursday. The talk show host said he reached out to FBI Director Kash Patel to request that the FBI investigate the recent spike in politically motivated swattings.
“The police are hip to what you’re doing,” Pags warned, calling out the perpetrators. “I could have died,” he added.
Overnight, family members of independent journalist Nick Sortor were also swatted.
“Both my dad and my sister were swatted tonight,” Sortor posted on X at 12:56 am Thursday morning. “A dozen cops attempted to kick my dad’s door in at gunpoint.”
This is literal f-cking terrorism. And the FBI should treat it as such. Before calling in the swat, this dumbshit sent my sister an email calling me a Nazi, of course. So the motive is clear.
In my dad’s case, the caller told police my dad was killing my entire family, requiring them to intervene with deadly force. This is nothing short of attempted murder. They wanted the police to kill my father. Unfortunately for the swatter, I WILL NOT stop. I WILL NOT shut up. And you WILL NOT win.
If anything, my family is behind me even more than they were before. Because they just got a first hand look at the forces I’m fighting with on a daily basis.
Your hate fuels me. I’m over the target. As President Trump says: FIGHT. FIGHT. FIGHT.
Sortor told Alex Jones during an interview that he believes the left is getting desperate as it loses more and more power.
“There are going to be more wins and they can’t take the wins,” he said. “The vast majority of the American people don’t agree with anything they say … so the only thing they can do is to shut us up so we stop showing the American people what’s really going on and exposing the truth.”
Political commentator Gunther Eagleman was targeted a couple of hours after Sortor’s family members were swatted.
“The gloves are off. First off, my family is safe,” Eagleman wrote on X. “My house was just swatted. Some ignorant f-ck called in a fake hostage situation.”
Eagleman had a message for the culprits: “Fortunately, I have good relations with law enforcement, and extra patrols will be added. I don’t tolerate threats and will find the culprit. This was their worst mistake.”
Finally, Trump impersonator Shawn Farash revealed Thursday evening on X that he and his wife were swatted.
“We are totally safe,” he said. “Thank you to everyone who checked in. We are going to do whatever is necessary to find out who is behind these coordinated attacks and hold them accountable to the fullest extent. Thank you all for the support!”
In a video posted on X Thursday evening, Farash noted that he was asleep when the police appeared at the house, but his wife was awake, and shaking with terror at the sight of armed policemen outside their door.
Everyone who was swatted reportedly received orders of either Domino’s or Papa John’s pizza that were labeled “COD” (cash on delivery).
The swattings come after a series of attacks on Tesla dealerships throughout the country in recent weeks, that include arson attacks, vandalism, theft, and gunfire.
And Thursday morning, Trump Tower in New York City was occupied by leftists chanting “Free Mahmoud, Free them All!”
NYPD reportedly arrested 98 protesters for trespassing, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental affairs, among other charges.
Another Info Wars writer, Jamie White, was shot and killed outside his apartment complex in South Austin on Sunday, but the murder does not appear to be political. Austin police say investigators believe White was shot dead when he interrupted suspect(s) burglarizing his vehicle.
Update Friday morning:
Thursday night, the man behind the popular X account “Catturd” was swatted at his home in Texas. It was the fourth time the Trump supporter was swatted, according to independent journalist Breanna Morello on X.
“Many conservatives aren’t willing to go on the record when they’re swatted,” Morello noted.
Catturd responded to Morello’s post, saying “Can confirm.”
Overnight, yet another X personality was targeted.
Investigative journalist Walter Curt said his troubles started in the wee hours of the morning.
“Around 3 a.m. last night, both my phone and my wife’s phone started ringing,” he posted on X at 6:53 am. “It was my mother calling us.”
She was on the phone with the police from my town, and they told her that I was in the house with an AR-15 and had just killed my parents. My parents live in a different state. Regardless, the cops had already arrived and surrounded my house.
I was then contacted by a local PD, where I was told to exit my home with my hands above my head and to walk backwards towards the police. I complied, and after a short pat down, the cops relaxed. They took a statement from my wife and me, did a short walk-through of the house, and then left. They now have my personal cell number and my wife’s personal cell number—as well as have added my house to a specific list in case I’m targeted again.
My family is safe. I will be investigating this and determining who did it. I’ll be happy to press every possible charge I can come up with when I find you. If War is what you wanted. It’s War you shall have.
FBI Director Kash Patel issued the following statement on X Friday morning:
I want to address the alarming rise in ‘Swatting’ incidents targeting media figures. The FBI is aware of this dangerous trend, and my team and I are already taking action to investigate and hold those responsible accountable.
This isn’t about politics—weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers. That will not be tolerated.
We are fully committed to working with local law enforcement to crack down on these crimes.
More updates to come.
Update: Sunday March 16:
Two more swatting attacks happened Saturday night.
- Photographer Matt Van Swol is a Western North Carolina resident and former Democrat whose independent reports last fall on the ground in the wake of Hurricane Helene put a spotlight on the Biden regime’s failure to assist those affected by the storm.
Van Swol said “a call was made saying that I had m*rdered my wife and I was hiding in the basement with a gun.”
A SWAT team showed up at his home at 2AM last. Van Swol posted surveillance video of armed police at his door.
“Please watch and understand how this could have gone horribly wrong if this was you and your home,” he wrote on X. “This is not a joke. This is domestic terrorism.”
- Town Hall columnist Dustin Grage posted on X that he was also swatted overnight, and afterward pizzas were delivered to his home that were never ordered.
“Not every victim of swatting has the same relationship with law enforcement as our family, nor may they have as excellent police departments. Some aren’t as fortunate, and innocent people lose their lives as a result,” he wrote.
But make no mistake: we aren’t taking this lightly. We are treating this threat seriously and see it no differently than an intentional attack on the lives of my wife, our young children, and myself.
Every law enforcement resource available will be used to track down whoever is responsible for these swatting attempts. We will also be lobbying the highest levels of government to ensure justice is served and to push for stronger deterrents against future acts of terrorism.
If you thought this would silence us, you couldn’t be more wrong.
You messed with the wrong family.
Update: Monday March 17:
Investigative journalist Larry Taunton posted on X Monday morning that he was swatted overnight.
I was in bed, but noticed Ranger, my German shepherd, was on the prowl, his ears up. I heed his instincts.
I then saw a flicker of light on my BR door. Ranger went to investigate, I got my gun…
I saw the silhouette of a man on my deck with an AR15. Given my recent run-in with USAID and the Egyptian secret police in Cairo, I didn’t know what to think. I could hear whispers and saw two other men also in body armor, heavily armed.
I turned on a light and told them to identify themselves. They did as you’ll see, by I kept my weapon. It de-escalated from there. The officers told me they’d received a call from someone claiming to be in my home and hiding while I shot people.
These were good guys just doing their jobs. I doubt any voted for Biden or Kamala. They had approached the house without sirens, in silence. This might have been a bloodbath but for restraint on both sides. This was an attempt to get me and my wife killed. It ended in smiles, handshakes.
But, oh my, what might have happened. One had tried the door to enter the home. I thank God he did not get in. I might have opened fire. You must understand it was pitch darkness.
There were 9 police vehicles at the top of my drive. No sirens, no warning.
Taunton gained notoriety on X last month when he wrote about his investigation into a USAID headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, where he was able to gain access.
Per Data Republican, four other conservative influencers on X, Mike Engleman (@RealHickory), @Beard_Vet, talk show host Stew Peters, and Veterans For Trump national director Chad Caton were also swatted last week.
Update Tuesday Morning, March 18:
Clinton accuser Juanita Broaddrick, 82, was swatted overnight.
Broaddrick, who runs a popular X account, posted video of the SWAT team at her door.
“About 10 police and swat team showed up,” she wrote. “They said the caller said there were 2 masked men and people inside had been shot. This shit needs to stop.”
