Well, it's been a while since I have started to ramble on, so here it goes. Most of my Blogs are about driving as it's what many of us do for a living. Yes, some do it part-time, by part-time I mean mom taking us to school, then to soccer, football, and shopping, and elsewhere. So I always say to stay in focus when driving, "Do Not Use the Cell Phone" and that goes for all of us. There was a fender bender by an officer of the Law in my area, as they were using the computer in their Patrol vehicle and rear-ended another vehicle, not a good ending as the officer had to go in front of the Chief, and he was not happy.
Remember when in the emergency vehicle to not get into the "ZONING Cycle" like many of us do, you know looking straight ahead and not all around us, watching for the kids running after a ball or just coming out to see us going by fast with lights and siren blaring away like we do. Then you have the public with their car radios blasting and not paying attention and yes, we all meet at the intersection and bang collision, also let's remember that other units are responding also, and I am always reading that they have collided with each other somewhere along the lines, rollovers and injuries and even death. Let's just take that extra second or two to watch what is going on all around us when responding to a Fire, Medical, or domestic calls, and watch out for Grandma, Grandpa, and others crossing the street. Now there are battery-operated bikes, scooters, and other equipment on our roads. Here they have made a Bike Lane so now you have to watch for that also.
I think you know what I am trying to get across to you, BUT, we still injure each other almost daily, this is sad.
So till I write again, stay safe and watch for the other driver who is not watching out for you.
