Hello All

Good morning to all my First Responders and Friends;

Its been awhile since I have written and I hope you didn't think I have left you all , no way at least with out saying good buy, No I just have been real busy and have been doing some travel on the road ( which is scary). I f you know what I mean. I may already told you this we drove out to the brother in- law home (Phoenix Az) . Going through Illinois was the first place that the driver's there are crazy , when they want to get IN front of you and there was no room between me and the vehicle in front of me they just more or less force there way in, and I am not telling a lie. Next place was Houston you are on a I think a 7 lane highway and you are in the middle lane and the GPS says you need to get off at the next exit which is either left or right and the traffic is bumper tot bumper well have fun we did it but for ILL. never again. I am not saying they all are bad drivers but . You know what I mean the truckers can tell you. There were car parts all over the highway in Chicago, Ill. We had finally got there and had a good time and yes we had to come home but we took a different way.

The point is , don't drive like a crazy person or better yet "Like you are the only one on the road" because you are not the only one on the road there are others. There was just a accident here in Buffalo , where a fire truck T-Boned and school bus one of the short ones (no kids on the bus) The fire truck was a Ladder truck lights and siren going, who is at fault I don't know enough of the story as I was not there. But like I always say watch the intersections even when you are going Hot to a call , you never know what the other person is doing in their vehicle.

Winter is on the way (ugh) let's get our Winter kits in our vehicles , food, blanket, water, snow brushes just in case we get stuck on the roadway. And most of all let's remember our Winter driving to be extra careful driving and if you are going somewhere leave alittle early so as you don't have to rush to get there. If we are responding to a call be it in an Emergency Vehicle or your personal vehicle drive for the weather conditions, just take your time you are no good if you can not get there safe.

Last but not least Have a Happy Thanksgiving and hope to see you all back here again .

Bob Allard

ps: hope I didn't hurt anyone's feeling from Tx. or IL.
