 Don’t forget to apply for Fuels Reduction Project funding from the RSG! Program. Funding for this grant opportunity is provided by the USDA Forest Service through a cooperative agreement with the IAFC. A maximum of $10,000 per department is available to help departments cover the cost of department staffing, equipment rentals, and/or contractual services. This funding cannot be used on equipment purchases worth more than $5,000. A minimum hard match of 25% is required along with an in-kind match of a minimum 150 hours. These hours must be reported in the RSG! Program’s Achievement Management System (AMS). RSG members who receive funding must comply with all the provisions of Title 2 CFR 200. Community fuels reduction work must be completed no later than December 31, 2022. All necessary reporting must be completed by February 15, 2023. No extensions will be granted. The deadline to apply is July 31 at 11:59 PM ET. | |
