The New NFPA® Online Certification Platform Is a Major Upgrade for Certification Holders and Future Candidates
Applying for and managing your NFPA® certifications just got easier. The new NFPA® online certification management system (CMS) means the entire certification process is going digital. The new platform, rolling out over the next few months, will let you:
- Submit applications and payments online.
- NOTE: New certification applications are available now.
- Review application progress and certification status.
- Receive instant exam results.
- Print your certification certificates.
- Receive recertification reminders.
- Access online professional directory*.
Already a valued NFPA certification holder?
- If you are currently certified, all your certification information will be migrated to the new CMS soon.
- Recertification applications and CFPS Renewal will be available once all data are migrated.
- We will be sending you more detailed instructions about how to access all your personal certification information in the new CMS.
Have an application in process?
- If you’ve started an application in the existing system, please complete the process and submit payment ASAP so we can migrate your record to the new CMS.
- Incomplete applications will not be migrated to the new platform. If you do not complete and submit the application with a payment, you will need to start the application process again in the new CMS.
- If you have submitted your application and paid, you will automatically be moved to the new online platform.
NEW Remote Proctoring — Take your certification exam from your own computer.
NFPA is also rolling out a new remote proctoring option for certification exams.** That means there’s no need to travel to a test center for a proctored exam. Now you can take your certification exam from the convenience of your home or office.
Learn more about all available online certifications at nfpa.org/certsolutions.
* Employers and potential customers can verify certification status or search for professionals with certain certifications.
** Remote proctoring is not yet available for CFI-I, CFI-II, and CFPE.
