The State of Florida is investing in critical connectivity for public safety with FirstNet®, Built with AT&T by acquiring 50 mobile cell sites that they can self-deploy to boost connectivity during emergencies.
Easily transported, these on-the-go coverage solutions will help search and rescue and other emergency efforts by providing reliable connectivity for first responders on the frontlines.
The highly portable FirstNet Compact Rapid Deployables™ (CRD) and miniCRDs will be pre-staged in emergency operations centers to enhance the State’s preparedness in a disaster.
As the only network that enables agencies to own these devices, FirstNet gives public safety better command and control of their network.
“The State of Florida knows intimately the damage that hurricanes and other natural disasters can cause to their communities. The recent acquisition of these deployable network assets emphasizes the state’s commitment to preparedness and how FirstNet is a critical component in overall disaster response planning,” said Joe York, President, AT&T-Gulf States. “FirstNet is proud to help first responders in Florida and across the country perform at the highest levels during everyday emergencies and large-scale storms like Milton.”
