National Preparedness Month was created to encourage and promote family and community disaster planning during NPM and throughout the year.
The 2022 NPM theme is A Lasting Legacy: "The life you’ve built is worth protecting. Prepare for disasters to create a lasting legacy for you and your family."
According to Ready.gov, they “broke ground last year by producing the first-ever national preparedness campaign specifically targeting the Latino community", and this year’s campaign "features a call to action for the Black and African American community" to help those who live in underserved communities.
But we want ALL families and communities across America to become more prepared for many types of emergencies and disasters, and encourage everyone to download USFRA's FREE 68-page ebook to help you and your loved ones prepare for life disruptions – learn more
