About a month after Hurricane Michael slammed into the Florida panhandle, the Woolsey Fire roared into Malibu CA November 2018 and consumed almost 100,000 acres.
Once things calmed down, USFRA reached out to our friends at the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation to see if Jägermeister and USFRA could assist with a $15,000 donation for LAEPF's after-action report, and ask if some funds could be given to a local volunteer fire department.
LAEPF shared a story about how Malibu West Volunteer Fire Brigade saved hundreds of homes from the encroaching flames, so part of the LAEPF donation also helped install additional hose boxes in West Malibu.
