Firefighter Jean Tinoco was recently named Firefighter of the Quarter and was recognized earlier this month at the council meeting. He is a Gulf Shores High School graduate and began his career in public safety on the beach. After spending every spare moment that he had riding along with GSFR, he quickly proved himself with his positive attitude, high level skillset and willingness to learn and was brought in as a full time firefighter. Tinoco has accomplished more in his short time as a firefighter than most would in a career, and by the time Jean was 21 he was already a certified USLA lifeguard, nationally registered paramedic, as well as an Alabama Smoke Diver, ensuring he was at the top of his game all the time.
