20-Mar-2019FRISCO, Texas - The Dallas Stars hosted First Responders Night presented by City Credit Union and supported by Jägermeister on March 17, 2019 against the Vancouver Canucks at American Airlines Center.

The Stars honored First Responders with special in-game recognition throughout the event and inclusion of selected First Responders during in-game features and intermission contests.

The Dallas Police K9 Unit participated in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the contest and will be presented with a donation from the Dallas Stars Foundation

The Dallas Stars Foundation partnered this season with the Dallas Police K9 Unit to produce the 2019 Dallas Stars Player Calendar, featuring current Dallas Stars players along with dogs from the unit. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the calendar benefited the dogs of the Dallas Police Department.

As the Official Shot of the Dallas Stars, Jägermeister donated tickets for the game to hundreds of local First Responders in honor of their sacrifice and commitment to ensuring the safety of our community.

In addition, Jägermeister hosted a sampling in Valor Bar & Burger at American Airlines Center during pre-game up until the end of the first intermission, and honored first responders by providing giveaways and VIP experiences.

USFRA collaborated with Jägermeister by reaching out to some of our D/FW members and various police, sheriff, fire, EMS and other agencies and groups to help distribute tickets and passes to the Valor Bar experience.

In addition to acknowledging a few specific public safety officials and veterans, the Stars played a several minute video montage showing the incredible work first responders do for our communities each and every day. Unfortunately Bill and I didn’t take a video of the video (and can’t find it online), but here are some photos from it…
