AWESOME STORY: Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey was proud to present the Commissioner's Award to Will Wooten, a rising senior at Rocky Mount Academy and a member of Boy Scout Troop 5 sponsored by FUMC Rocky Mount. Last winter, Will learned that his local fire department, the Heartsease Vol Fire Department was having some difficult times financially. He decided to focus on helping the fire department as his Eagle Scout project. Wooten set a goal of raising $2,500. With the help of fellow Scouts, family members and friends, Will raised more than $20,000 by selling donuts and hosting car washes! It was enough money to replace turnout gear for the entire fire station! This is what community is all about! Congratulations Will, thank you for your efforts!
