Bio | When child car seat laws were first passed in 1983, I developed a series of techniques for stabilizing and transporting children by ambulance using the car seat they came in from the collision whenever possible. My techniques gained national recognition in the March, 1986 issue of the Journal of Emergency Medical Services, have been included in the National Children's Hospital Pediatric Paramedic Training Program since April, 1986, have been included in the "Orange Book" since 1999, and remain the national standard of care for kids in car seats in ambulances. |
