BioVicki Travis is currently the Deputy Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness for Tangipahoa Parish, where she has been employed since 2004. She has served in many state and federal declared disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike, Isaac, Ida, and Francine. Graduate of the GOHSEP’s Command College in 2011 and earned her Louisiana Emergency Managers Certification. She is a Community Emergency Response Member (CERT) Train the Trainer. While serving on the Tangipahoa Parish Citizen Corps Council, she trained 135 CERT members. Has served on the State Citizen Corps Council since 2012 and is currently serving as the Vice President. She was nominated to the LEPA Board in 2016. In 2021 and 2022, she served as the Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association President. She sat on a panel of Women discussion for Emergency Management in 2023.
