From Carroll Co. Emergency Services

It is with great sadness that we announce the Off-Duty passing of our friend and longtime department member, Lieutenant Ronald Sexton. Lieutenant Sexton passed away at his home early yesterday morning, leaving a hole in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ronald had 24 dedicated years in emergency services with16 of those serving the citizens of Carroll County as a Firefighter/Paramedic. He served the Carroll County Fire-Rescue Department as B-Shift Lieutenant, National Registry Coordinator, and most importantly as a mentor and friend to many.

He was a dedicated employee who was admired for his medical skills and the manner in which he cared for patients. Ronald loved children and took great pride in his special ability to work with pediatric patients. As a Lieutenant, Ronald was a respected leader and someone others looked up to and enjoyed working for. To say he will be missed is an understatement.

We ask that you keep his family, friends, and extended emergency services family in your thoughts and prayers.

Our condolences go out to all who were blessed to know him. Rest easy, Lieutenant Sexton, and thank you for your dedicated service and friendship. It was our honor to serve with you.
