Are you interested in aiding first responders during emergency events? If so, we have 25 positions open in the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training courses which prepares citizen volunteers to join the CERT team and assist the county.

Participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of CERT members, first aid, basic search and rescue, disaster preparedness and CERT organiza… Moretion. Members of the Bay County CERT program may be called during times of disaster to volunteer as Citizen Information Center call takers, potentially help in the Emergency Operations Center, help with traffic control, light search and rescue, or manage volunteer or donation centers.

The free training course will held May 5-8 from 5 to 9 p.m. and May 10 from 8 a.m. to noon. at the Bay County Emergency Operations Center.
