What are the chances of this?! I went to Jimmy John's earlier to get a sandwich. When I looked at the receipt, it not only had my name on it, but the check number was the same as my old badge number (289) when I tried my hand as a patrolman over 30 years ago. Somehow I doubt that I could do this with my dispatcher badge number (5090), but I won't give up hope! 😀

On this day in 1968, 911 came into being as the emergency phone number. I think my agency began using it in 1990. Happy birthday, 911! Saving lives for 57 years!!

Some of my coworkers have jokes! I received a Post-Valentine’s Day candy surprise today when I came in to work. It’s called “The Perfect Man,” and made out of chocolate. Oh well, for all I’ve pulled on them, I guess this is a partial payback on their part. It’s not over yet, and by the way, thanks for the present! 🤣🤣🤣
